San Diego Chargers by 9.5 over the Oakland Raiders
Well this game is in San Diego so I do have to give the Chargers the edge but 9.5 points is a bit much. It will be more like a field goal maybe a touchdown. I do look for LaDainian Tomlinson and Malcolm Floyd to have big games. Oakland is 29th against the run and 8th against the pass. Floyd seems to be the flavor of the month for Philip Rivers and Chris Chambers or Vincent Jackson will be shadowed by Nnamdi Asomugha so they will be shut down for this game. In his last 13 games against the Oakland Raiders LT has rushed for 1,701 yards and scored 20 touchdowns, so look for him to break out of his slump just in time to win your first fantasy football playoff game for you. The Chargers are 15th against the run and 31st against the pass so if the Raiders ever threw the ball the receivers would be looking at a huge game, but since their leading receiver is an average, at best, tight end don’t look for too much there. That being said the Chargers are still only 15th against the run even though teams are passing at will on them so look for a lot of yards out of Oakland’s running game whoever happens to get the rock this week. The real question is which Raiders team will show up, the one that beat the division leading Denver Broncos a couple of weeks ago or the one that lost to the lowly Kansas City Chiefs last week. Either way look for Chargers to win a close divisional game between 2 teams already looking at next year.
