Pretzel’s Picks Week 11

Atlanta Falcons by 6 at home over the Tennessee Titans
Falcons lost last week to the division leading Saints because of a bad coaching decision late in the 4th.
Mike Smith won’t make that mistake again. Falcons win by 10.
Cleveland Browns by 1 at home over the Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville continues to show up every game and make the other team work for it.  Obviously their record shows
more losses than wins but so does Cleveland’s.  The Browns have lost 3 in a row including last week to the awful Rams.
Look for MJD to have a big game and Blaine Gabbert does just enough for the Jags to take this one down.
Minnesota Vikings by 1 at home over the Oakland Raiders
The Raiders looked good last week beating up on the Chargers.  Palmer looks like he is getting chemistry with his
receivers and their always strongrunning game is making big plays to keep defences needing 8 in the box.
Minnesota’s 2 wins have come against the Panthers and Cardinals.  They have shown no ability to beat winning teams.
Raiders will take this one with ease.
Chicago Bears by 3.5 at home over the San Diego Chargers
Chicago has won 4 in a row and the Chargers have lost 4 in a row.  After beating the Eagles and Lions in the last
2 weeks the Bears seem to have a knackfor beating Talented teams that are not playing very well…which pretty
much defines the San Diego Chargers.  Bears by 10.
Eliminator
For my eliminator I will take the undefeated Packers over the disappointing Buccaneers.

Pretzel’s Picks Week 10

Kansas City Chiefs by 4 at home over the Denver Broncos
Wow, what can you say about the AFC West division.  it is like no one wants it.  That being said Arrowhead
is a ridiculously tough place to play.  The Chiefs defence has been very opportunistic and Tebow isn’t the
answer in Denver.  Look for some turnovers in favor of KC.  Chiefs by 7.
Carolina Panthers by 3.5 at home over the Tennessee Titans
The Titans so far have not been able to step up and beat tough team and regardless of their record Carolina
is a tough team to beat.  They have been in every game and the Cam Newton to Steve Smith connection will
cause the Tennessee coaches to have some sleepless nights this week.  Panthers should have no issues with this one.
Panthers by 10.
Miami Dolphins by 4 at home over the Washington Redskins
The NFC East was wide open there for a little while.  Since then the Redskins have completely fallen apart
losing 4 straight after starting 3-1….I think there was a QB change somewhere near the start of the skid.
Miami showed signs of life last week, stood up and said “We do not want to Suck for Luck.”  Miami by a touchdown.
Pittsburgh Steelers by 4 at the Cincinnati Bengals
Pittsburgh is 0-2 in the division so far and the Bengals have won 5 straight.  This is a divisional game so it
is going to be a close one but for my upset pick of the week I will take the Bengals over the Steelers.
Eliminator
The self proclaimed Dream Team have been more of a nightmare this year because you never really know who is
going to show up but it looks like Kolb might miss this game and as bad as he has played he is still their
best option.  Philly should have no problem here.

Pretzel’s Picks Week 9

Atlanta Falcons by 6.5 at the Indianapolis Colts
Atlanta is a team on the rise after a rock start to the season.  They have won 2 in a row and will make it 3 this week as they face the awful 0-8
Indianapolis Colts.  Falcons by 10.

Kansas City Chiefs by 4 at home over the Miami Dolphins
Arrowhead Stadium is a tough place to play as the Chargers found out last week losing in OT the Chiefs.
KC now gets to face the 0-7 Dolphins and should have no problem putting them in the hurt box.  KC by 2 touchdowns.

San Francisco 49ers by 4 at the Washington Redskins
San Fran has won 5 in a row and the Redskins are going in the opposite direction losing 3 in a row.
I assume Tashard Choice will get some carries and since it is a Shanahan running game he should do pretty well.
Don’t look for any other bright spotsd in this game for Washington.
Frank Gore and Company should take this one easily.  Niners by 7.

Tennessee Titans by 3 at home over the Cincinnati Bengals
The Titans had a look earlier in the year that made me think they may be able to get by
without CJ2K getting in a groove but have not showed that as of late.  The Cincy defence should be able
shutdown the Titans and their efficient offense will get enough points to win.  Bengals by 4.

Eliminator
For my Eliminator pick I will take the Dallas Cowboys at home over the  Seattle Seahawks.

Pretzel’s Picks Week 8

San Francisco 49ers by 8.5 at home over the Cleveland Browns
The 49ers are coming off a bye after beating the 5-0 Lions and the 3 games before that to show the world that they are legitimate.  The Cleveland Browns
have come off the bye week to lose in Oakland and then win a shootout last week over Seattle 6-3.  The Browns are going to need a little more fire power then that to take out the 49ers, I don’t see that happening.  San Fran by 10.

Cincinnati Bengals by 2 at the Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks lost to the Browns last week and the Bengals won their last 3 before their bye week.  This should not be a problem for the Bengals.
Cincinnati by 7.

San Diego Chargers by 3 at the Kansas City Chiefs
It is gut check time for the Chargers.  The Chiefs have won 3 in a row since losing to the Chargers earlier this year.  Chargers lost to the up and down Jets last week and will rebound this week in a tough divisional game.  Chargers by 6.

Philadelphia Eagles by 3 at home over the Dallas Cowboys
For my upset pick of the week I will take the Cowboys on the road over the “Dream Team.”  The Eagles only wins have come in week one against the
terrible Rams and against Washington during the game that was Rex Grossman’s demise…for now at least, he does play for Shanahan.  Dallas is kind of
all over the place this season but Romo again has his full compliment of receivers and should have no problem taking it to the Eagles in this game.
Dallas by a touchdown.

Eliminator
For my eliminator pick I will take the Saints over Rams.  The Saints put up 62 points last week against the Colts.  Will we see more this week?
